The Diffusion of Peace Education in the Dole Philippines School Community in South Cotabato, Philippines

This graduate thesis by Vanda Marie B. Macion (Brady), completed in 2001 as part of her MA in Communication, explores how peace education was introduced and spread within the Dole Philippines School (DPS) community in Polomolok, South Cotabato.

Set against a backdrop of regional insurgency and displacement from 1965 to 2000, the research investigates the sources, aspects, dissemination flow, and effects of peace education within the DPS community. The work later became a key reference for Mr. Hikari Taniguchi of the United Nations-mandated University for Peace (UPEACE) during his visit to the school in 2014.
