Deeply rooted in story, community, and family.
I’m Vanda Brady — a Filipina-Irish-British advocate, radio presenter, translator, and founder of migrant-led and cultural initiatives grounded in community care and creative collaboration.
My journey has always been anchored in communication — from my early days in broadcast copywriting to community-led storytelling on local radio. My mantra? Send the message using the right channel to the right audience. That principle has guided my work across borders, sectors, and cultures.
From the foothills of Mt. Matutum in Mindanao to the rolling fields of County Cavan, I’ve worn many hats: corporate marketer and lecturer in the Philippines, training coordinator and business developer in the UK, and later, a bridge-builder in rural Ireland. I’ve led Philippine embassy outreach missions, hosted multicultural events, and founded platforms — from my first ENFiD-Ireland and Pinoy Craic to recent projects like Ethnic Echoes and Cavan Connects Artists and Writers.
With a background spanning media, refugee resettlement, and volunteer leadership, I’ve spent over a decade helping communities thrive — through intercultural outreach, storytelling, and frontline support.
My work has been recognised through honours such as the Philippine Presidential Award 2021, the Cathaoirleach’s Social Inclusion Award 2019, and being named one of the Irish Examiner’s 100 Women of the Year 2024. I’ve also been appointed a m 2022 as a Commissioner for Oaths by the Irish Supreme Court.
I’m married to Mullahoran local Shane Brady — my anchor, unwavering supporter, and true partner in life — and together we’re raising our two wonderful children, Charlie and Guia, in the heart of County Cavan. The youngest of six siblings, I’m proudly shaped by my father’s roots in Dumaguete and my mother’s strength from Bukidnon.
A triple citizen (Philippines, UK, Ireland) and unapologetic polymath — communications expert, pianist, drummer, scuba diver — I remain grounded by one mission: to hold space for the stories that build bridges, nurture belonging, and amplify voices that deserve to be heard.
I hope you enjoy exploring my website — not just to learn about my work, but to get a glimpse of my family life and the true, everyday me.
