On 23 April 2016, ENFiD-Ireland participated in the 1916 Centenary Celebration in Cavan called “Re-Imagine 1916”. At Farnham Street, ‘Experience ‘1916 around the World’ was showcased at the Civic Space in front of Johnston Central Library where people explored the history, culture and heritage from Cavan’s new communities through song, dance, craft, costume and food.

We coordinated with Cavan County Council in setting up an exhibition showcasing Philippine crafts and food, presenting 4 folk dances namely Carinosa, Banga, Bulaklakan and Tinikling, and participated in the parade with three Reyna Elena embellished arcs and three groups representing Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
