I used to perform regularly at the lounge of The Hempel Boutique Hotel in London, where some of my own compositions were also featured in the set list. One of my earliest pieces, Tinig Ng Pag-Asa (Voice of Hope), was co-composed with my best friend Karen when we were in high school in the late 1980’s. The lyrics came years later, written by my fellow copywriter Divine during our time at an advertising agency—though we never got the chance to have it performed live.
I composed Living Again in 2005 while living in the UK, and Smile in 2010 as a gift for our wedding. I’m grateful to have had all three songs professionally recorded at a studio in London—capturing not just music, but memories.
