Women from The Next Chapter took an active part in the first cross-border Brexit Conference called “Mind the Brexit Gap: Celebrating Diversity & Inclusion in the Border” in County Cavan on Saturday 1 June 2019. Next Chapter participant Vanda Brady, member of the local Cavan Chapter, organised the event to mark the 121st Philippine Independence Day through her community organisation Filipino Association of Cavan which was awarded a Festivals Grant by Cavan County Council.
Next Chapter participants Frances Shiels and Lori Gatsi-Barnet from Belfast, Lisburn & Castlereagh Chapter, Ping Cao from Louth Chapter, Irene Donegal and Maria Jordan O’Reilly (Panel Chair) from Cavan Chapter attended and spoke at the event.
